When most people think of the presidential position they think of wealth, power, and easy-living. However, what the majority of the population forgets is that each President rose to his position through his own hard work.
Barack Hussein Obama is an excellent example of these misconceptions. He was born in Honolulu, Hawaii on August 4, 1961 to Barack Obama, Sr., and Ann Dunham. Unfortunately, Barack Obama Sr. divorced Ann when Obama Jr. was only two years old. This was the first tramatic occurence in President Obama's life. In 1967 however, Ann Dunham walked down the aisle with Lolo Soetoro. Soon, the family found themselves in Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia where Ann Dunham gave birth to President Obama's half sister, Maya Soetoru.
In the fifth grade (1979), a young Obama was provided with his first bout of racism. He was only one of three African children in the grade. However, this issue was resloved as a result of his dignified merit.
Although he remained somewhat dignified, he did not always keep his merit. In high school President Obama becam a deliquent and even failed eleventh grade. Nevertheless his future was soon to change. "Barack Obama attended Occidental College, but received his undergraduate degree in political science from Columbia University, an Ivy League member currently ranked 9th in the country by U.S. News and World Report. Obama also graduated Magna Cum Laude from Harvard Law School, where he also served as President of the Harvard Law Review. Harvard Law School is ranked the second best Law School in America after Yale according to US News."

Barack Obama met Michelle LaVaughn when she was emplopyed as a corporate attorney with the law firm Sidley Austin. They married in 1992 and now have two daughters Malia (12) and Sasha (9). This is some introductory information about Barack Obama's childhood and young adulthood.

1. Barack Obama served 7 years as an Illinois State Senator, resigning to assume U.S. Senate responsibilities. He also worked as a community organizer and a civil rights attorney. Obama was also a Senior Lecturer in Constitutional Law at University of Chicago Law School. After law school, he aggressively organized one of the largest voter registration drives in Chicago history to help Bill Clinton's 1992 election.
2. Ran for the Presidential elections of 2008 and won! Made history as the first Afro-American President of the United States
(NOTE: "when Obama decided to contest in the election, these were the order from Obama's wife,
1) Obama must quit smoking habit
2) Obama must spend time with the family on every Sunday's.
3) Obama should concentrate on his children's carreer also and must attend the Parents teachers meet in school.
Michelle was very clear in her demand and he said that she would permit Obama to contest in the election, only if Obama follows all three points mentioned above. Obama also accepted the conditions and naturally he got permission from his wife to contest in the US presidential election and eventually he created history by winning the election. If he wouldn’t have accepted those conditions, then he wouldn’t have got his support from his wife.")
